I think things are okay. I'm happy with my life, for once. Things aren't as fantastic as they could be, but I've learned to find satisfaction nonetheless, and it's very liberating. My poetry class at Pierce is really interesting. I enjoy all three classes at Rogers. I have a few good friends I keep in touch with. And I'm not online as much. All of those are good. I'm good. It's a nice feeling, to not always have some impending feeling of doubt or sadness or fear always surrounding me. I don't know when it happened. I met someone I hadn't seen in a while, and they asked me the simple question you always get asked in that situation: "So how've you been?" When I thought about how my life had gone since I'd last seen the person, I realized my life had improved, not through any special event or series of events, but just through my ability to cope with the fact that I'm never gonna get everything I want. So I was honestly able to answer with, "I've been good. I've been real good." And I think that's the first time I've been able to tell the truth in that.

On a lighter note, my English class is really great. We actually get writing assignments I enjoy, creative writing assignments. I'll be posting some of my stuff on here when I think I write something that's good. I was always good at English, but I never enjoyed it because we never did anything creative. It was always essays and research assignments and book reports. But now I have the reins. I like that. My teacher likes me too. He likes my writing, and has spoken specifically to me about it. I really like Mr. Ancheta.

Speaking of writing, this is only a tentative idea, but there's an opportunity I've been offered by a friend recently. My good friend Craig has it in his head to create a website to write reviews and cover video games and the like. He's asked me to write reviews. The idea is that he'll pay for a Gamefly account for me and one other person, and we'll order games, play them through, write a review, and submit it to the site. I've never written a review, but I enjoy writing, and the point of this is to add personality to it and make the readers want to read the review, so maybe it'll be a good thing to stretch and challenge my creativity and skills. I hope it works out, because I'm really interested in it.
